Diplomat named to ICIC and Fortune’s Inner City 100; among the nation’s fastest-growing inner city businesses
FLINT, Mich. — Nov. 5, 2014— Diplomat Pharmacy, Inc. (NYSE:DPLO), the nation’s largest independent specialty pharmacy, is proud to announce that the company has been named to the Inner City 100 list. The annual competition, held by Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, seeks to celebrate urban entrepreneurship by recognizing the fastest-growing businesses headquartered in America’s inner cities, as measured by revenue growth between 2009 and 2013.
The 2014 competition selected 10 businesses in each of 10 industry sectors: construction, manufacturing, professional services, food & beverage, retail, media and communications, software and information technology, transportation and logistics, health care and biotechnology, and arts, entertainment and recreation. Diplomat ranked 6th in the health care and biotechnology sector and landed 69th overall. Diplomat was one of five Michigan companies recognized on the 2014 list.
Companies selected were honored at the Inner City 100 Symposium and Awards, held Oct. 15 − 16, 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, the Inner City 100 list is published annually in Fortune.
