FLINT, Mich. – August 13, 2015 – The nation’s largest independent specialty pharmacy has been named the exclusive distributor for Taro’s primary hyperkalemic and hypokalemic periodic paralysis treatment, KEVEYIS™ (dichlorphenamide).
Diplomat Pharmacy, Inc. (NYSE: DPLO) announced today that it will be the sole distributor of KEVEYIS™ (dichlorphenamide), recently approved for the treatment of primary hyperkalemic and hypokalemic periodic paralysis, a group of rare hereditary disorders that cause episodes of muscle weakness or paralysis.
KEVEYIS™ is the first medicine approved by the FDA for the treatment of primary periodic paralysis, which is estimated to affect approximately 5,000 people in the United States.
