July 12 event to promote free vitamin program, child safety initiatives
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.— July 10, 2014 — Diplomat, the nation’s largest independent specialty pharmacy, is holding a ‘Keep Kids Safe and Healthy’ event on Saturday, July 12, 2014. The event will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Diplomat’s retail store, located at 214 East Fulton St., Grand Rapids, Michigan. A variety of activities and resources will be available at the free event.
The event will promote Diplomat’s new children’s vitamin program. Parents or guardians of children ages 2–6 may sign up to participate in the initiative. Participants will be able to pick up a free bottle of children’s vitamins, once per month at Diplomat’s Grand Rapids location.
In addition to signing up for the vitamin program, representatives from the Michigan State Police (MSP) will be on hand to speak about children’s safety and make free EZ Child ID kits available. The EZ Child ID software will record your child’s fingerprints, photo and voice. The information will be provided to parents as a photo ID card and CD. In the event that a child goes missing, this ID information can be vital to assisting law enforcement personnel in their recovery efforts.
Children will also be able to take photos with a fire truck from the Grand Rapids Fire Department and talk to representatives about fire safety.
For questions about the event, please contact Jill Polidan, Diplomat Retail Pharmacy Manager, at 616.356.1800
